Let’s try this again

January 16th

After a prolonged absence from sewing, it was time to jump back in again. It’s been almost a year with only a sporadic and half-hearted attempts and my pattern and fabric stash was talking to me – specifically saying “Are you kidding me? ” I admit – I am a craft hoarder. One of my resolutions this year was to spend the first week of each month reviewing my stash, organizing, and planning projects for the month. I wonder how long that will last? I mean, of course it will last!

So – fabric and pattern organization started – old scraps and UFO’s sorted, sewing machine and serger cleaned, oiled, and threaded with fresh needles. It felt so good to be able to go into my closet, pull out some fabric, and wet my feet with a super simple knit top.

There is a contest in progress on PatternReview.com  –  “The Little White Dress”. What a great incentive to have a deadline to finish a project. I have my pattern and my fabric should arrive today. Listen fabric stash,  you know – I generally wear black, grey or brights, I didn’t have white fabric for a LWD…
